It wasn’t that long of a ride: Dunlap, Illinois, to Princeville to Dunlap. Still, when you’re dealing with the high rolling resistance of a soft trail and you’re not in the shape you were 30 years earlier, a rest stop is a great idea, especially when you can visit with the gentle giants of the earth. Some of the Clydesdale horses northeast of Princeville weigh as much as a small sports car.

Beautiful photo. But the immediate question is regarding the pause – as in, did it refresh?
Wouldn’t exactly say it refreshed, though I was grateful that the wind didn’t change direction on me.
