Santa Monica, California, just opened a downtown bicycling hub with “close connections to existing and planned public transit.” The facility includes showers, lockers, valet parking and bicycle rental and repair. (Technorati)

Dahon helped underwrite the early-November California Bike Summit in Los Angeles. Ken Fagut, director of sales and marketing for North America, discussed bicycle access to transit. The group behind the summit, the California Bicycle Coalition, is a statewide advocacy organization that recently convinced Caltrans to use, instead of return, federal funds for bicycle and walking improvements.
